2006 Diffusion Syrah
This wine is a smooth blend (cofermentation, technically) of 90% syrah and 10% viognier. It has aromas of fresh berry with distinct floral notes. It is balanced and smooth on the palate, with cherry and dark fruit notes finishing with hints of vanilla. It pairs well with grilled meats and pasta, or is enjoyed by itself.

1.5 tons of estate-grown Syrah grapes were hand picked on September 3, 2006 at a Brix of 25. The grapes were cofermented with 300 lbs of viognier using D254 strain of yeast and barrel aged for 18 months. 14.8% alcohol. Sierra Foothills.
