Now

We've expanded from our original 'syrah-only' vineyard to include other varietals.  We also have mourvedre, grenache, petite sirah, zinfandel and viognier in the field.  Some we use for blending, others are made into their own vintages.

We contract with a professional vineyard management company to handle the vines year-round.  They irrigate, prune, thin, train and trellis and basically do everything else needed to insure that our grapes are the best around.   Each fall the crew picks our estate grapes at our winemaker's direction, allowing us to bring in the fruit when it's at its best for hand-crafting top quality wine.

Once the grapes are harvested and brought in by tractor to the crush pad, it truly becomes a family business.  Our winemaker (and owner) Debbie Knutzon, directs the process of turning grapes into award-winning wine.   We do all the crushing, fermenting, pressing, barreling, racking and bottling ourselves (with the occasional help of brave family and friends who dare venture up to the winery!).
