Okay. So what does all that mean?
Awards are basically independent validation that we make really good wine. We can market all we want, write clever newsletters, put cool graphics on the labels and all that stuff. But the awards tell you that we're serious about making wine and are willing to put our wine and reputation on the line in front of a panel of independent wine critics in the largest, most prestigious competitions in the world. Even though we can't enter all our wines in competition (most competitions have minimum production rules that keep out our 'small lot' vintages), it's fun to compete against the nationally recognized brands and wineries and win.
