Labels

We designed the synapse label as a three part piece.   The illustrated side is composed of two elements, the Synapse bar and the graphics box.  The Synapse bar will likely remain constant across vintages and varietals, grounding the label and brand across time.  The graphics box is the fun part for us.   That's where we try to separate ourselves from every other winery/label and connect our medical and science backgrounds with our passion for winemaking.  The images might seem a bit out of the ordinary for a wine label, but there's meaning behind them.

The informational side of our labels is laid out in 4 basic paragraphs.   History and Technique reveals factual  information about when and how the wine was made.  The Findings and Conclusions paragraphs are  our subjective take on the sensory (taste, aroma, color, etc) presentation of the wine and some of our serving suggestions.  That's another fun part.  What we taste and smell may not be what you taste or smell, and you may come with completely different ideas on what to serve with the wine.
