Synapse Wines is an award-winning, private microwinery in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California.  It is owned and operated by two practicing California neuroradiologists, Bruce Ginier and Randy Knutzon and their families. They handcraft their wines to highest standards using centuries-old techniques in combination with cutting edge technology.

Tasting Room Update

We're finalizing the design for the tasting counter (otherwise known as the bar), the wood floor pattern, and some other details that are going to make the room come alive.  We're going to hold back most of  the details 'till opening, but it's going to be a phenomenal tasting room.

Employment

Thanks to everybody who submitted an application or resume.  We're in the process of reviewing them right now.   We were overwhelmed by the sheer number of people who applied, to the point we're no longer accepting any more applications.  We'll repost for any new openings we have.

Latest Awards

Our 2006 Starboard dessert wine (a port wine) won a Gold Medal at the 2010 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, one of the oldest and most prestigious wine competitions anywhere.  Our 2006 Diffusion (90% syrah, 10% viognier) took home a Silver Medal.  This adds to the Double Gold Medal our '06 k-space won at this competition last year.
